Paul Sergio Barbosa

Mr. Paul Sergio Barbosa, age 47, of Elizabethton, TN passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 23, 2016. A native of Belo Horizonte, Brazil he was the adopted son of Jamie Torres Barbosa and the late Susan Virginia Hughes Barbosa. Mr. Barbosa was an aircraft mechanic at the Johnson City Airport. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, motorcycles, airplanes and living life to the fullest. Mr. Barbosa also enjoyed wrestling and baseball and was a Dallas Cowboy and TN Vols fan. He had visited every state except Alaska.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Stephanie Lyvonne Turner. Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Paul Micheal “PJ” Barbosa; of the home; a step-daughter, Courtney Lyvonne Whitson, Central Community; a brother, Jim Hughes and wife Kristi and a nephew, Kegan Hughes, all of Knoxville.A Gathering of Remembrance to honor the life of Mr. Paul Sergio Barbosa will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
