Mrs. Mary Lee Lunceford, age 67, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, TN she was the daughter of the late Earl and Burlyn Lyons Morris. Mrs. Lunceford retired as a Nurse’s Aide from Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Morris. Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Dayton Lunceford, of the home; a son, Travis Lynn Lunceford, Elizabethton; a daughter, Lisa Lunceford, Morocco, North Africa and two grandchildren. As redicously as it sounds...and to my shame...I was not aware of Mrs. Luncefords passing. I regret I was not aware of passing. I respected and admired Mrs. Lunceford candor and straight spoken attitude....her family was her world.
