Mae Fair

Mrs. Mae Fair, age 99, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Taylor and Bertha Glover Townsend. Mrs. Fair was a retired employee of the J. L. Hudson Department Store. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dayton Fair; brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Benny J. Fair, Elizabethton and four grandchildren, Kathy Lynn Fair, Unicoi, TN, Mary Jo Fair, South Carolina, Kelly Marie Fair, Elizabethton and Rebecca Ann Fair, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the comfort and honor of your presence at the graveside service for Mrs. Mae Fair at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 P.M. on Thursday.Read Obituary
