June Carr Townsend

Mrs. June Carr Townsend, age 88, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. A native of Watauga, TN she was the daughter of the late Roy and Annalou Little Carr. Mrs. Townsend had worked at Bemberg Corporation. She was of the Christian Church faith and everyone knew and loved her. Mrs. Townsend especially loved her precious grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Townsend, a son, James Allen Townsend; two grandchildren, Katina June Townsend and Toby Lee Townsend; a sister, Gail Humphreys and a brother, Lee Roy Carr. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Cynthia Townsend Perry, Elizabethton; grandchildren, Todd Hamaker, Travis Perry and wife Amanda, Traye Townsend and wife Jennifer, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sisters, Lynn Webb and Patsy Slagle.
