Joyce Ayers

Mrs. Joyce Ayers, age 93, of Westminster, Colorado formerly of Elizabethton, TN passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Greenridge Place in Westminster, CO. She was a native of Crossville, TN. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Ayers worked as a caregiver to seniors assisting them in their home in Tennessee and Colorado. She worked in this profession into her late seventies. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Clell Ayers and a sister, Mabel Bowman. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Carol Ann Macklin, Wheat Ridge, CO and a son, Robert Dean Ayers and his wife Linda, Westminster, CO. Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.Graveside service and interment for Mrs. Joyce Ayers will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Brushy Creek Community, Green Mountain, NC with Rev. Jacob Willis officiating.Read Obituary
