Gary L. Lyons

Mr. Gary L. Lyons, age 68, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Anna Vines Lyons. Mr. Lyons was a retired auto collision repair specialist. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era. Mr. Lyons enjoyed working and he loved animals and spending time with his grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Lyons; one brother, Terry Lyons and a grandson, Robbie Lyons, Jr. Survivors include a son, Robbie Lyons and his wife Kristina, Johnson City; four grandchildren, Jordan Lyons, Noah Lyons, Britney Lyons and Autumn Lyons, all of Johnson City; his partner, Retha Rose, Elizabethton; a daughter-in-law, Misty Lyons, Johnson City and the mother of his children, Wanda Lyons, Johnson City.A private graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Gary L. Lyons will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the Lyons Cemetery, Carter County, with Rev. Ken Jefferies officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Read Obituary
