Frances E. Fulwiler Guinn, age 91, Hampton, TN passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. Frances was an active member of Woodby Hill Freewill Baptist Church where she taught the Card Class for over 45 years. She also sang in the choir. She was a member of the Limestone Cove Ruritan Club.Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ollie Miller Fulwiler and stepmother, Virgie Bowman Fulwiler; her infant son, William Odell Guinn; son-in-law, Paul Edward Painter and her husband of 48 years, Harley “Odell” Guinn.Frances leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Danny Bryant, Unicoi, TN; daughter, Doris Guinn Painter, Chuckey, TN; Sons, Harley Guinn Jr. and Samuel Blake Guinn, both of Hampton, TN; brothers, Danny Fulwiler and wife Alice, Earl Fulwiler, all of Unicoi, TN; Troy Fulwiler, Maryland; sisters, Isabelle Slone and husband Danny, North Carolina and Norma Jean Tittle and husband Kenneth, Johnson City, TN; two grandsons, Daniel Joshua Bryant and wife Nikki and Matthew Stephen Bryant and Stephanie Freeman; her four beautiful great-grandchildren, which were the apples of her eye, Danielle and Kris Bryant, Unicoi and Gracie and Mason Bryant, Kingsport. Several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews also survive.A service to honor the life of Frances E. Fulwiler Guinn will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Lester Perkins, Rev. John Buchanan and Rev. Alex Carver officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the funeral service or at other times at the residence of Lucy’s mother-in-law, Shirley Bryant, 525 Laughren Road, Unicoi, TN.Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 24, 2017 in the Cochran Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Josh Bryant, Matthew Bryant, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Henry Berry, Rev. Dallas Gregg, Rev. Randy English, Bruce Randolph and other ministers of the Jack Creek Association and her church family. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:50 P.M. on Sunday for the graveside service.
