The Bible says, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". we have known Charlie for a number of years. I used to be his pastor at Harmony Free Will Baptist. He was a man that loved the Lord with all his heart and faithfully shared his love and testimony for Christ.
Charlie was a very dear friend to me and my wife Sherry. We would talk with him quiet often and talk about prayer and God's ability to heal. He wanted God to heal him he would say, but he would continue, "but I'm ready to go if God chooses to call". Well, God chose to call him home. He suffered much in this life, but he will suffer any more. We know in our hearts that Charlie is now at home with the Lord, never to suffer again.
We will truly miss our friend, but we have some precious memories of Charlie that we will cherish. We have the hope of one day seeing him in a better land-Heaven!
For now, we say, "Good-bye Charlie, but we'll see you in the morning in heaven."
