Charles "Grady" Parlier

Mr. Charles “Grady” Parlier, age 85, of Johnson City, TN passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late James Carl and Martha Cannon Parlier. Mr. Parlier retired from North American Rayon Corporation after forty-four years. He was of the Christian faith and he was an U.S. Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Quincy Parlier and a sister, Ivalee Pierce. Survivors include his wife, Selma M. Colbaugh Parlier, of the home and several nieces and nephews. A service to honor the life of Mr. Charles “Grady” Parlier was conducted on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Scott Fisher, minister officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the service. Graveside service and interment followed the service in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers were Allen Parlier, Jim Colbaugh, Doug Colbaugh, Ricky Colbaugh, Jason Wiseman, Jason Pearman, Hershel Scalf and Ronnie Colbaugh.
